Department of Public Procurement of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was established by the Order of the Rector in 2017.

The department follows the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, the Budget Code of Ukraine, acts of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Finance, regulations on public procurement and other regulations.

Ivan Fedorovych Melnyk is the Head of the Department of Public Procurement.

The main responsibilities of the department are to provide the university departments with all the necessary resources (equipment, devices, reagents, educational and scientific literature, furniture, building materials, household goods and other material valuables).

The main tasks of the Department of Public Procurement are: analysis of the needs for inventory, services, work and labour for the university departments; long-term and current planning of purchases of goods, works and services; conducting procurement of inventory and services according to the established procedures; concluding agreements with suppliers of inventory, contractors of works and services in accordance with the needs; supply of inventory in the storage; control over the efficient use of material resources.

Thus, local and foreign markets for goods needed for university departments are constantly studied and computer database of the most common goods, suppliers is regularly being updated as well.

Today, six employees work at the Department of Public Procurement. Each specialist performs a lot of work and is responsible for a specific area of ​​work:

Melnyk Ivan Fedorovych is the Head of the Department;

Opyr Tetiana Myronivna is a senior specialist;

Piniaha Natalia Kalistrativna is a senior specialist;

Valihura Tetiana Vsevolodivna is a senior specialist;

Vidlovskyi Andrii Petrovych is a goods and services supply manager;

Martsinkovska Khrystyna Ivanivna is a warehouse manager.

Together with the Department of Planning and Finances, Legal Affairs Office, Accounting Office, Maintenance and Supply Department, the Department of Public Procurement ensures adequate and efficient use of budget funds; develop strategies for improvement of procurement planning and supply for all the university departments.
